After the world was destroyed by the carelessness of the human beings. The land was left deserted and barren. A few stranded human beings, still roamed the abandoned earth. Wandering aimlessly. Strange creatures crept from their hiding places undeterred by the presence of the humans. Some good and some bad. The good, known as and the bad, the hidden. They both, hate the opposing side, the humans were left undecided, each try to invade during the secrecy of the night. To capture prisoners and slaves. Upon capture, a riddle is set. Is that particular creature worth fighting for? Why don't you come and see.
Season
Winter.
Terrifying squalls tear over the realm. Damaging buildings and causing your ears to ring. The chills from the icy breeze cause bumbps to appear upon the flesh. The skies are dark. Grey clouds, cover the horizon threatening to drop the bundle of rain upon the globes pastures. The barren fields begin to liven up as the moisture soaks into the sod. Soon the paddocks will be full of weeds. Where ever you walk your clothes and bodice is dampened by the moisture in the atmopshere. The village is not a very nice place to be in winter.

Since opening our doors we have welcomed a few new members.
I have changed the plot slightly and added new alliances. You may now be either human, the hidden or the faithful.
Each alliance is split into three races. Excluding human.
Halloween. The one time of year were you can dress up as whatever you want, and no one can say otherwise. Vampires, fairies, movie characters, and death himself. All these things and creatures you can be for Halloween, and yet you don't even realize that these things really exist. What, you don't believe me? Why don't you just ask the citizens of Luni, this is, if you can find any in Luni still alive.
On Halloween night of 2006, those creatures of the night attacked the people of Luni. Children and adults everywhere were murdered, and drained of blood. The color red painted the city streets, causing people to cower in fear and not leave the safety of their home. However, no place was safe after they had attacked the city. Soon enough, the creatures of the night were the new rulers of the Luni.
One year later, the people of Luni wanted to return to their original home, and have decided it was time to get some help. They had to enlist the help of those who knew how to deal with these dark creatures. Slayers. They have been enlisted and were given a year to prepare for a battle against the creatures of the dark. By Halloween of 2008, the slayers made a grand entrance by putting a dent into the dark forces. For a brief moment, hope in regaining the city looked possible.
However, within the last year, things have taken a turn for the worst.
There have been severe casualties on both sides. Yet, the worst part has been for the slayers. No longer are the creatures of the dark killing, but taking them for hostages or turning them just like themselves and forcing them to fight for their side. It is now fall in the year 2009, and just whose side are you on in the battle for the city of Luni?

Mosaics weathered by the ravages of time tell tales of cities built upon cities, of governments long since fallen, of gods and beliefs abandoned, and the evolution of man; magick and technology. Magick stirs deep within those of divine blood; royalty and nobility. It's this that separates the lesserfolk from those of high station, but one cannot forget what has kept mankind alive.
It's the root of our survival.
Man creates new and innovative ways to perform menial tasks; evolving with the times and pushing forward. Now, locomotives charge ahead with steam spouting from their smokestacks, and steam boats ferry up large waterways with passengers upon deck; the world's bustling with an Industrial Age and the promise of a Golden Era looms upon the horizon, or so they think.
...and it's here, within the land of Elysia, that mankind is beginning to wallow within the murky depths of their own society. With the people segregated and divided amongst themselves, the poor are oppressed by the rich; any semblance of normalcy held above them. Those who cannot afford taxes are apprehended and forced to work within the mines for days on end; weeks, even. All the while those of the upper class reap all the benefits of their lesserfolk barely scraping by.
They were blinded by false promises of a Golden Era, and now the populace of Elysia are ruled by a power hungry tyrant who wants nothing more than to reign supreme over the known world. Her voice is only rivaled by the sudden outcry of the lifeblood of the city; the poor and beggars. Where no one had ever been strong enough to voice their outrage, now one man does.
Purgatory in Chains [Angels vs. Demons] « Result #3 on Oct 3, 2009, 6:09am »
The date is December 12th, 2012. The planets aligned. The Mayan calander ends. The Bible prophesized it. The same predictions made by famous astrologers and scientists, began to form a single truth. The apocalypse is here.
And all Hell broke loose.
However, it was not the end of the world as millions of people around the world was led to believe. No. This date, known as the Day of Eden, brought to being the most powerful divinities ever to walk the earth. It was on this date, that the powers from the Under and Outer world surfaced, awakening the ancient spirits from mortals alike. The Mortals, acted like a host to both Angels and Demons. Both unable to get back into their own worlds, so live among the humans. Much like Purgatory.
Since the beginning of time, both Angels and Demons walked freely into a world uninhabited by humans. They vied for power. Fought to the death, and declared war every chance they got. In their hopeless and reckless battle, both races were condemned to like as Mortals as the first was born on earth. They were powerless for eternity for their mistakes. Until now.
The Angels - Celestial beings from the Outerworld, or Heaven as we know it, are the protectors of humans. The spirits, lived among the human race for millenia, seeking a knew host every single lifespan. For them to be awoken in the year 2012. Each Angel is a guardian of much of the welfare of humans. Each one inhabits both a Mortal form, and a Celestial form, complete with their own set of abilities.
The Demons - Damned creatures born in the heart of the Underworld, want domination, power and revenge for their lives condemned in the most weakest of species. Each Demon has their own domain, and each inhabits their own set of abilities as well. However they are different. Not only do they also have a Mortal form, but they also have a Beast form. ranging from many forms only manifested in your nightmares.
The Hybrids - Years of breeding against species, these creatures take on only a Mortal appearance. Behind their hidden exterior, they too, display their own array of powers. Rare, forbidden, and coveted, these creatures are constantly hunted.
Motals - Humans locked between an eternity-long war in a fight they can barely see. Using whatever knowledge they have to stay alive, they just want all species gone from earth. They want peace.
Which side would you choose?

Chimera Academy « Result #4 on Aug 27, 2009, 11:43pm »
A B O U T :: U S
There have always been nightmares on our streets. Dreams, illusions, superstitions and fantasies have always plagued our kind. They are in our bedtime stories, they are in the corner of our visions. They are depicted in tales of old as mythical creatures, some of which good, and some bad.
But, are they truly fantasy? Can the things that have haunted us since our very beginning really just be cut down and cleared up to mere superstition? Why have they been so prevalent in our cultures then? Why are the Great Pyramids of Egypt carved with sphinxes and spirits; why do our old wives tales speak of goblins that devour children in their sleep; why did people once hang garlic and crosses around their doors to ward off evil?
The answer is simple: Because the nightmares of our bedtime stories are not as make-believe as we'd like them to be. There are things out there that are not us; and, as much as they'd like to eat you up or crush you underfoot, they have to receive a proper education on it first.
Here, at Chimera Academy, we educate the future generations. All of them, scaled, furry or clawed. We are the reason there have always been nightmares to haunt the darkness, and we are the reason most of you think you're alone in the world. Because, every wolf needs a little sheep's clothing. We can't just let our phoenix students burn buildings down becasue they feel like it. We can't just let our dragon students eat whoever they like. They need training, in the ways of their race, and in the ways of conformity.
That way, nightmares stay nightmares, and not the top story on channel ten.

believe in the stories of old,
that is probably the best advice that someone could possibly give you if you end up in blackwell, a unique city that's hidden away from the mundane humans. blackwell is one of the most prosperous cities in the entire world of the Others. the Others are every mythical being that the humans stopped believing in. the used to live among the humans but when humans started fearing what they didn't understand, they created their own world, a world away from the humans. for the most part they have lived away from the humans. the Others have better and have most of the amenities that humans have, mainly because the Others were the ones who created them in the first place. so if you think that you can handle the world of the demons, fae, magic users, shifters, vampires, werewolves, and warriors, welcome to blackwell. it's a town filled with
Requiem of Twilight « Result #7 on Aug 4, 2009, 7:24pm »
Over a hundred years ago...
The King of Thieves was captured in a failed attempt to kill the Hylian King and usurp the throne. As punishment, he was ordered to be executed by the Ancient Sage spirits, but as this order was carried out, through some divine jest, the evil Gerudo was gifted with the Goddesses’ power and revived.
Breaking free of his restraints, the dark lord drew the weapon of his demise from his chest, his vile laugh filling the air as he prepared to kill his executioners. However, this short moment of reprieve was the King’s downfall, as the Sages managed to open a portal to another world behind him. The void the portal created began to pull at him, slowly drawing him towards its depths, proving beyond even the Goddesses’ power to prevent.
The last act of the King of Evil before he disappeared from time was to launch the Sage’s Sword into the portal’s originator, piercing the very center of the Mirror of Twilight, but this proved to be worthless, as the damage was merely superficial, and the blade was quickly pulled into the void with its new owner…
The world has since lived in peace, battles and wars are small and short, fights becoming a mere training exercise of caution. People remain alert, prepared, but relaxed and comfortable.
Unfortunately, as with all things,
peace cannot last forever…
As you can tell, this is a Legend of Zelda Roleplay site, and I'm sure those of you who have good eyes can tell its based on the Twilight Princess game, but expanded and with a twist. We like to think of our site as a "Fantasy/Zelda RP", the knowledge of Zelda required is minimal~ You are able to claim canons from the game, as well as make original characters, get involved with the plot if you wish, and roleplay to your hearts content. ♥

Mysste Region « Result #9 on Jul 31, 2009, 11:59pm »
--
In a region far from it's cousins, Mysste lies in the middle of a great ocean. Here Pokemon of all types run free and happily. However, not everything is quite as great as one might think.
There is a criminal organization about by the name of Night Shade, and their goal is to create vicious shadow Pokemon. One of their more ominous ideas is capturing the Legendary Pokemon and turning them to shadows, so they may use them to destroy what we all hold so dear.
Night Shade's base is found deep in the Exxa Wastes, and there a Professor by the name of Umbra is constantly at work making these Shadow Pokemon and distributing them to the grunts working at Night Shade. So far, this group has laid waste to almost the entire portion of Eastern Mysste, which was once a happy, thriving community. Now all that remains are ruins and forgotten Pokemon.
Fortunately, there is another organization rising, one that fights Night Shade and all they stand for. They are called Lumyn, and they work diligently to protect humans and Pokemon alike. They have befriended most of the Legendary Pokemon, and even have a special home for them in part of their Nature Reserve.
Though Lumyn's efforts are great and helpful, they stand hardly a chance against the huge forces of Night Shade. Night Shade is even starting to effect people like the Elite 4, forcing them to do their bidding. Soon every trainer will be at risk as Night Shade rises to the glory they so desperately want. Will you join the forces of Lumyn to stop them, or will you go with dark Night Shade trainers? Or maybe you're just stuck in between this mess. Fight your way through the dangerous Pokemon world and follow the destiny laid out for you!
People from five different countries struggle each day. The powerful want to stay in command and keep their good fortunes. The rest fight to survive day by day.
A Land of the Magic...
In Shayz'renth, there's great power over the elements: shadow, light, fire, water, wind, and earth, but it can only be granted only by the Sages that rule them. Each day brings another theft, another murder, and another noble feigning ignorance. Every day a person must chose between what is right and what is wrong.
A Land of Barrenness...
In Kolshtak, the desert brings little to those who live in it. Communities form around sources of water, depending on them for survival. It is from this country that the gypsies were born, clans that formed generations ago to survive.
A Land of the Nature...
Governed by elves, Manti strives to be the most beautiful country. Still recovering from a civil war, they are enjoying peaceful times again. Some within are not so well off though. While some cities are rich with beauty and life, other cities are struggling each day.
A Land of the Trade...
It's not easy to be a landlocked country, and Lalan'ay would agree. What they cannot get from the ocean, they make up for in hard work and patience. They reach out to make trades routes with the countries around them.
A Land of the Chaos...
Pyroose has no central government. Their frozen lands are littered with hundreds of clans. Most of the people stay in the forested mountains. It is the most violent of the five countries. The people often prey on each other. Those born within are unlikely to ever see adulthood, and the brave travelers who visit have a tendency to disappear.
